Give it a Whirl

Ever wondered what people mean when they say they’re going to throw on the wheel? This is your chance to find out. Learn the very basic of throwing on the wheel and decoration techniques alongside our experienced instructor. There will be a secondary day for glazing on June 23rd, 2026 where participants can drop in to glaze their projects. You will be able to make, decorate, and keep two projects of your own creation. Please note that it is hard to throw if you have long fingernails. All tools and supplies are included.

Silk Painting

Discover the art of silk hoop painting in our beginner-friendly workshop. Participants will learn how to use various mediums such as ink and wax to create unique designs on a hoop of silk. With an emphasis on creativity, this class is perfect for anyone looking to try something new, no prior experience needed.

Door Signs

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll create a one-of-a-kind wooden sign! We'll provide a pre-cut, precision laser-etched design on high-quality wood, and you'll bring it to life with your choice of paint colors. Personalize your project with your family name or a special date. Just submit your idea beforehand, and we'll have your custom sign ready for you to paint.

Birdhouse

Construct something beautiful for your backyard, and the birds, with this workshop where creativity meets simple woodworking. In this class, participants will work with pre-cut wooden birdhouse pieces where you can paint patterns and creative designs to make it your own. Whether you are coming for a fun experience or hoping to attract some birds, you'll leave with a finished birdhouse ready to display. No prior experience needed.

Berry Basket

In this workshop, you’ll build your own ceramic berry basket from clay slabs, designed to be both beautiful and functional. We’ll walk you through step-by-step, making sure everything fits well and feels balanced. You’ll also have time to add texture, carving, or stamped designs to make it your own. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike. Finished pieces will be glazed and fired, resulting in a durable, dishwasher-safe piece that is perfect for the kitchen. The day dedicated for glazing will be July 9th, where you can stop by at any point in the day and receive instruction by our amazing staff.

Throwing

Learn to use the pottery wheel in a comprehensive six week course that includes everything from pulling to trimming to glazing and more. Tools are supplied. You will need to purchase clay for $30 at the shop and pay your glaze fees. Please note that it is hard to throw if you have long fingernails.

Cyanotype

Discover the magic of one of the earliest photographic processes, in this hands-on family/group workshop! Price includes up to five individuals for your family/group. Cyanotype is a simple, sunlight-powered printing method that creates stunning deep-blue images using found objects, stencils, and natural materials. Participants will expose their work to sunlight to create one-of-a-kind prints. Experiment with printing on high-quality paper to bring designs to life on fabric items such as cotton shirts (at an extra cost). The process is accessible to all ages and combines art, science, and a little bit of surprise as each print develops before your eyes. No prior experience is necessary. This workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and collaboration. Perfect for families/groups looking to make meaningful art together. Includes 5 sheets of paper but you can add additional sheets during class for $5 per sheet.

Butter Dish

In this workshop, you’ll build your own ceramic butter dish from clay slabs, designed to be both beautiful and functional. Fused Glass

Learn how to fuse glass! No experience required. Everything is provided. This workshop is designed to offer an introduction to glass fusing. You will learn to cut and shape glass to fit your design, and our staff will put your creation through our kiln firing process. Come with ideas, but we will also have examples to get you started.

Rainbow Loom

Add a pop of color to your day in his fun and relaxing workshop! participants will have the opportunity to create and decorate their own rainbow shaped wall decoration through the use of yarn. We’ll provide a variety of yarn colors and textures so you can mix, match, and design a rainbow that reflects your personal style. This is a great low-pressure, beginner-friendly project that’s perfect for all ages. By the end of the session, you’ll have a cheerful handmade piece ready to hang up, gift, or brighten your space.

Soap Dish

This class is a great introduction to slab building and a perfect first clay project. You’ll learn how to roll out slabs, cut clean shapes, join pieces securely, and shape them into a simple, functional soap dish. It’s a straightforward project that focuses on foundational skills, but you’ll leave with something handmade that you can actually use every day. After glazing and firing, your finished soap dish will be durable, practical, and uniquely yours. The day dedicated for glazing will be July 21st, where you can stop by at any point in the day and receive instruction by our amazing staff.

Watercolor

This class is all about spending time together and exploring watercolor in a relaxed, low-pressure way. This workshop is designed for a wide range of ages and experience levels. You don’t need to know how to draw or paint to participate, just come ready to experiment and enjoy the process.

Youth Basketry

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of basket weaving and create a small finished basket from start to finish. We’ll cover basic weaving techniques, shaping, and finishing. This class is beginner-friendly and requires no prior experience. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a completed basket and a solid understanding of the foundational techniques behind traditional basketry.

Youth Sewing

This beginner-friendly two session class is designed just for youth who want to learn how to use a sewing machine with confidence. Participants will practice these foundational skills while making a reversible tote bag. Along the way, they’ll learn how to pin, sew consistent seam allowances, turn corners, and construct clean straps. By the end of class, each participant will leave with a finished bag they can actually use, and the confidence to keep sewing. You will need 2 yards of fabric. You can bring your own or you can pick from some of the fabric we have for $5 per yard.

Tic-Tac-Toe

In this workshop, you’ll create your own handmade tic-tac-toe set. We’ll use slab-building techniques to construct the board, then sculpt and personalize the playing pieces. You can stick with classic X’s and O’s or come up with your own theme. Come back to glaze on August 17th. Once fired and glazed, your finished set becomes a durable, functional piece you can actually play with, perfect for family game nights or as a handmade gift. The price includes 2 boards. $15 per additional.

Adult Sewing

Whether you’re completely new to sewing or just need a refresher, this two-session class will walk you through the fundamentals of using a sewing machine. Participants will apply these skills by creating a fully lined, reversible tote bag. You’ll learn how to sew straight, reinforce seams, construct straps, and finish a project cleanly from start to finish. You will need 2 yards of fabric. You can bring your own or you can pick from some of the fabric we have for $5 per yard.

Group Workshops
All Materials for workshops are included with the fee paid. Workshops can be scheduled by calling or coming in person any time we are open. Please give us at least 48 hours notice before your scheduled event. There must be five or more people in order to schedule a workshop.
Workshops that can be scheduled, if there are five or more people interested:
- Calligraphy 2 hours- $40 Using a dip pen you will learn traditional black letter calligraphy techniques.
- Fused Glass 5x5 in space in kiln 2.5 hours- $40 Learn the steps for cutting and laying glass to make appealing shapes for a beautiful suncatcher An instructor will place in a glass kiln for firing. Fused glass is not recommended for children under 14 due to the risk of handling cut glass.
- Fused Glass Night Light 1.5 hours- $30 Learn the steps for cutting and laying glass to make appealing shapes for a stunning nightlight. An instructor will place in a glass kiln for firing. Fused glass is not recommended for children under 14 due to the risk of handle cut glass.
- Silk scarf/wall tapestry 3 hours-$50 Silk scarves are stretched on frames. Use a combination of wax resist and silk dye to paint your own patterns on silk scarf.
- Silk Hoop Painting 2 hours- $30 Silk is pre-stretched on a permanent circular frame. Use a combination of wax resist and silk dye to paint your silk hoop.
- Needle Felting Mushroom 2.5 hours- $40 Use colored wool and a needle to form a plush mushroom. Needle felting is not recommended for children under 14 due to the large needle and risk of injury.
- 5x7 Resin and Glass Mosaic Frame 2 hours- $35 Arrange glass into appealing shapes. Instructor will pour resin over glass to seal it into place. Resin Glass Mosaic Frames are not recommended for children under 14 due to the risk of handling cut glass.
- Mosaic stepping stone -$40 Arrange glass and stones via mosaic techniques to create a unique stepping stone. Mosaic stepping stones are not recommended for children under 14 due to the risk of handling cut glass.
- Give it a Whirl-$50 A single session wheel throwing class for those who want to learn wheel throwing but aren't sure they're ready to commit to a full six week wheel throwing course. Must be at least 14 years old to use the pottery wheels but is not recommended for anyone under 18.
- Handbuilding One Session 2 hours- $15 A single session class where you learn the basic techniques of handbuilding so you can walk away with a pinch pot. The group will vote on a color of glaze and all pieces will be glazed that color. This workshop is really popular with kids of all ages!
- Handbuilding Two Session 3 hours - $25 Same as Handbuilding One Session. Additionally in session two you will receive instruction on how to glaze your pieces. This workshop is really popular with kids of all ages!
