The Master of Arts (M.A.) program emphasizes general preparation in political science and research to prepare students for future graduate study and/or work with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, consulting firms, public relations, journalism, among others. Thesis and non-thesis options are available.
Master of Arts in Political Science
Areas of emphasis in the M.A. program include the fields of
- Public Administration
- Comparative Politics and International Relations
- American Government and political behavior
- Public Law
- Political Theory
M.A. students focus on two of these areas of emphasis and either write a thesis or present themselves for comprehensive examinations.
