Kevin received his PhD in Aeronautical Engineering (2020) and his BS dual majored in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering (2014) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). His research covered the modeling and design of piezoelectric synthetic jet actuators for application in active aerodynamic flow control. Kevin has 6+ years of experience in lab-based, hands-on instruction and has taught and created courses involving wind tunnel experimentation, supersonic nozzle operation, and solid rocket propellant testing, as well as lecture and design courses in aerospace propulsion systems, aerodynamics, aerospace structures, and air vehicle design. He is an advocate for student clubs and independent projects and has helped to mentor teams competing in AIAA Design Build Fly, Spaceport America Cup, and formulating their own propellant for a two-stage rocket intended to break the Karman Line.
