Testing Center Hours for Summer 2025

Please contact us if you need to schedule outside of regular hours. We don't guarantee availability, but we will try to work with you.

The Idaho Falls Testing Center proctors exams for ISU Courses, placement exams, and other university exams and reviews online proctored exams from Proctor U and Proctor Free.

There are 40 seats with 24 computers in the testing center that can be reserved.

Please note that all exams need to be completed by 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

An Instructor Request form must be submitted before we can schedule a class or individual exams (see below). Instructors must provide a list of students testing in Idaho Falls at the time of scheduling.

Homework:  Students can pick up any returned homework you send over in the testing center with an ID. If students need to mail homework, we have a homework box in the hallway of the testing center with a time clock; they can drop it in there, and we will mail it back to you. 

Class Handouts (televised classes): The testing center can deliver handouts to the bins located outside of each Idaho Falls televised classroom.

24-hour scheduling is mandatory. Testing is available from 8:00 am Monday through Friday.

Students wanting to test at the Idaho Falls Testing Center must submit the Student Schedule Link 24 hours in advance.

All tests need to be completed by 4:00 p.m. 

Double-check to see your exam length and schedule an allotment for that time. 

Please make sure you check back with the testing center if you have not heard anything in 24 hours. 

 

Students who have or need testing accommodations will submit a request form to Disability Services. Upon submission of the request, an email will be sent to the instructor with instructions on how to get the information concerning the administering of the exam to Disability Services.

THE IDAHO FALLS ADA TESTING SERVICES ARE FOR ISU CLASSES ONLY

The Testing Center Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (All exams need to be completed by 4:00 p.m.)

The Testing Center is located in the Tingey Administration Building (TAB), room 225. Two forms of ID, including one Photo ID, are required.

We accept cash or checks only, no credit cards.

We will give you a parking pass if needed.

 

This test determines placement in ISU math classes.

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

You can schedule or walk in to take your placement exam. For first-time ALEKS test takers who are ISU students or who have applied to ISU, the ALEKS Math Placement test is offered free of charge and can be taken up to five times at no cost.

Those not affiliated with ISU and those seeking to take the exam after exhausting their free exams must pay a $15 ALEKS fee and will be charged a $15 proctoring fee per testing session. Please bring a photo ID and your Bengal ID (or another form of ID if you are not an ISU student). 

Schedule an ALEKS Placement Exam

The Write Class™ is an online first-year writing course placement tool that integrates various data points to create a personalized course placement for each student. It integrates and analyzes each student's

  • standardized test scores.
  • high school GPA (if applicable).
  • writing and reading history.
  • preparedness for each course.

It does not allow for multiple attempts, and placement results are final. Based on the information you provide in The Write Class™, you will be placed into ENGL 1101, 1101P, or 1102.

This process will take between 20 and 30 minutes. Please be sure you have the time to answer all questions before beginning.

The TEAS is taken by nursing school candidates.

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

Upon arrival at the testing center, the TEAS candidate will pay a $115 fee in cash or by check made payable to Idaho State University. 

The candidate must bring two forms of ID (at least one with a photo) and know their Social Security Number when taking the test.

The score results are available immediately following the test. 

Schedule a TEAS Test Appointment

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

The IC3 is a Key application test 

Students must bring a valid form of photo ID issued by the government.

The test fee is $50.00; cash or check made payable to Idaho State University is required at appointment time. There is one free retake. 

 Schedule a IC3 TEST

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

This service is for any online test (including correspondence) that requires proctoring.

A valid ID is required to take the test. All candidates must have a current government-issued photo ID with a signature and one additional form of ID.

The proctoring fee is $15.00 per hour with a minimum of $15.

Before a scheduled test can be approved, the course instructor must email The Testing Center with the testing candidate's name, any required passwords, and specific test instructions to iftc@isu.edu.

SCHEDULE AN ONLINE CORRESPONDENCE TEST

Testing is available from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday. (Must Be Done By 4:00 p.m.)

Kryterion is a professional placement testing service and is scheduled through their website 

Two forms of Valid Identification are required to test: a current government-issued photo ID and one additional form of identification.

PAN/PSI are exams for federal placement, I-9s, or Re-Certification 

Two forms of Identification are required to test. One of the forms of ID has to be a government-issued photo ID, and the second form of ID needs to match the name on the first form 

PAN/PSI tests are scheduled through their website.

  • Foreign Language Placement Testing
  • GED
  • HSE
  • ACT Residual
  • CLEP
