Liyah Babayan

CEO of Ooh La La Boutique and MAKEPEACE

Liyah Babayan, CEO of Ooh La La Boutique and MAKEPEACE, has been honored with the prestigious 66th Idaho Business Leader of the Year (IBLOY) award award for her outstanding leadership and transformative impact on women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community development in Idaho.

This award annually recognizes an Idaho business leader who has demonstrated outstanding business and professional ethics while contributing significant support to community, civic, and education activities. Awarded by Idaho State University Alpha Kappa Psi (AKP) Professional Development Fraternity since 1959, previous honorees have included a congressman, former governors, entrepreneurs, and leaders of some of Idaho’s largest companies. The recognition program is the longest-standing one of its kind in Idaho.

Ooh La La Boutique has grown from a small local storefront into a well-known Twin Falls institution recognized for its focus on women’s empowerment, confidence, and personal fashion. Founded in 2007, the boutique has become more than a retail space, serving as a community hub where women receive personalized styling, wardrobe consulting, and encouragement to pursue their goals with confidence.

Liyah's journey with Ooh La La began with a passion for helping women recognize their potential. Through years of dedication and vision, she built the business into a trusted brand in the Magic Valley. As Founder and CEO, Liyah oversees daily operations while cultivating an environment where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered.

Liyah’s leadership extends beyond retail services. She mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, offers business coaching, and supports women interested in small business ownership. Through workshops and programs hosted in the boutique and creative spaces, she also promotes youth financial empowerment and personal development, helping young people gain confidence and practical skills for the future.

Expanding her impact through socially responsible business, Liyah also founded MAKEPEACE, an Idaho-based organic skincare line made from potato starch. With every product sold, MAKEPEACE donates bars of soap to individuals and families in need, reflecting Liyah’s belief that business can be a force for dignity, wellness, and community support.

Liyah’s commitment to leadership includes service on the Twin Falls School District Board of Trustees and advocacy for inclusive education and community engagement. She also championed the creation of the first Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the City of Twin Falls, strengthening collaboration across local organizations and community groups.

Ooh La La and MAKEPEACE continue to operate under Liyah Babayan’s leadership with a commitment to empowerment, ethical business practices, and service. Her focus on building confidence, creating opportunity, and strengthening community connections has established her as a respected business leader across Southern Idaho.

AKP is honored to present her with this award, and they would like to invite you to spend an evening with them, celebrating all of her monumental accomplishments and contributions to our community.
