Idaho State University to Host Visiting Artist Roland Becerra’s Lifestyles and Rituals Exhibition and Screening of Animated Feature Film Agatha

Visiting artist Roland Becerra presents an October exhibition, Lifestyles and Rituals, along with a film screening and artist talk exploring art, animation, and storytelling. This event is free and open to the public.
POCATELLO, Idaho —Idaho State University’s Department of Art is pleased to welcome visiting artist Roland Becerra, Associate Professor at Boise State University, for a month-long exhibition and series of events exploring art, animation, and storytelling.
Becerra’s exhibition, Lifestyles and Rituals, will be on display in the Compartment Gallery on the 4th floor in ISU’s Fine Art Building throughout October. His work, which includes painting, drawing, and animation, explores themes of decay and the effects of time on individuals and society.

Wednesday, October 29 | 5–6:30 p.m.
Bengal Theater, Pond Student Union
Join us for a screening of Becerra’s animated feature film Agatha, followed by a Q&A with the artist.
- Artist Talk
Thursday, October 30 | 3–4 p.m.
Fine Art Building, Room 401
Becerra will discuss his creative process, the inspirations behind his exhibition, and his multidisciplinary work in film and visual art.
In addition to his exhibition and public programs this fall, Becerra will serve as juror for the ISU Undergraduate Juried Exhibition in the spring semester.
