Chemical Use
| A | Read the Safety Data Sheets for the chemicals being used in the laboratory. |

 Chemicals should not get on your skin or clothing:

| C | Label all containers of chemicals, including water, to prevent accidents and facilitate disposal. | 
| D | Do not pour chemical reagents down the sink drain unless instructed to do so. Place used or waste chemicals in hazardous waste containers and label them with the correct waste label. | 
| E | Gloves and goggles must be worn when working with specific chemicals or specimens that have been preserved in formalin. | 
| F | 
 Notify your instructor of unsafe conditions such as but not limited to: 
 Instructors will clean up the glassware or spill and contact the lab coordinator with further any issues.  |

 Chemical waste needs to be placed in hazardous waste containers that are labeled using an ISU Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) office hazardous waste sticker.  |
