May 5, 2025
Recently, both Erik González Campos and Elizabeth Rivera Muñoz have been accepted into PhD Programs to continue their Spanish language and Hispanic cultural studies.
Erik will start his PhD at the University of California-Riverside in the Department of Hispanic Studies in the fall 2025 semester, and Eli will begin at the University of Houston, focusing her studies on Hispanic linguistics.
Erik has been studying Mexican and Chicano cultural studies while in the MA program at ISU and has presented his work twice at the ISU Spanish MA Arconexiones graduate student conference. He will continue to pursue those areas of interest in his PhD as well.
