Emily O'Keefe has created the following courses for the Albion Center:

Emily O'Keefe has been a middle school art teacher and instructional coach in Minnesota for 17 years. She has earned her Bachelor's of Education and Studio Art from St. Olaf College, and a Master of Art Education from the University of Minnesota. In collaboration with art teachers in her district, Emily developed a comprehensive Media Arts program that has become a popular option for her 7th and 8th grade students. Emily has always enjoyed the integration of art and technology, and she wrote her master's thesis on the role of technology in art education as meaningful student engagement and as a 21st century art medium. Through her role as a district instructional coach, she gained an impactful perspective on the ways technology is shaping the K-12 student in both positive and negative ways post-Covid. Through all of this, Emily developed a passion for thoughtful pedagogy using technology when it is meaningful, while making sure students have access to hands-on activities to promote balanced education.
