Beth Runciman earned a MS in Math Education from Oregon State University in 2013. She has been teaching in middle and high school classrooms since then, and teaching fully online since 2019. Beth's passion is to help students who hate math discover that it can actually be useful and satisfying. She is committed to nurturing the potential for high achievement in all of her students, and particularly those from historically excluded communities. Learning how to stay in the teaching profession and thrive through difficult professional circumstances is her greatest accomplishment. Beth is also proud of how she incorporates social emotional learning into her teaching. In her personal life, Beth is married, has two children, and enjoys running, knitting, and reading. She lives with a golden retriever named Sam and a bull python snake named Nugget.
