Retired Regional Science Coordinator

Georgia Boatman has created the following course for the Albion Center:

Georgia Boatman taught in Mountain Home, Idaho for 17 years, in Kennewick, Washington for 15 years, and served as the Regional Science Coordinator for Southeastern WA for 11 years at Educational Service District 123. She has taught every grade in K-6 except kindergarten and fourth grade. As an elementary teacher, she was one of 5 elementary teachers in SE WA to participate in the Department of Energy Academy for Creating Teachers of Science, working with scientists and other teachers to develop curriculum for elementary students in geology and plant growth and development. Georgia also served as a professional development facilitator for the Smithsonian's Science and Technology for Children curriculum and on the development team for the Washington State Science Assessment. She has been married for 47 years to Dennis, who has also been an educator for 43 years. Georgia has three sons: two of them teachers, and one in the Bureau of Land Management. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her seven grandchildren.
