Emily Smith has created the following courses for the Albion Center:

• Improving Classroom Management: Creating Inclusive, Positive, and Effective Learning Environments
• Introduction to Phonics Instruction and Strategies

Emily Smith is currently a developmental kindergarten teacher who loves kids, teaching them, and learning herself. She has previously taught first grade for 16 years and knows the importance of a strong phonics foundation. Emily enjoys teaching literacy, reading aloud to her class and building relationships. Teaching for 16 years and still loving it is her major achievement! She continues to find joy, positiveness, and challenges exciting, and she loves coming to work. Emily and her husband have 2 young boys who keep them busy. They love sports, being outside, and traveling. When not at school, she enjoys reading, shopping and enjoying friends and family.
